24 MonthsThe academic program facilitating Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in the Buddhist Studies will focus on the study of Issues related to Buddhist Civilization, canonical and post-canonical languages, a literature of the Buddhist tradition. Therefore, successful completion of the program will require an extensive language and textual study along with courses in Civilization. Areas of concentration within the program will include Indian Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, or Inner Asian Buddhism, with the relevant languages like Sanskrit, Pali, Tibetan, Old Turkish, and Chinese. The program will also cover the issues related to the spread of Buddhism in different parts of the world.
A candidate must have passed the Graduate Degree with Social Science minimum 50% for Gen. / OBCs and 40% for SCs/STs is required to be eligible to secure the admission.
Admission will be based on the SNET/MERIT.
