24 MonthsMaster of Science (MSc) in Mathematics is a full-time two years duration postgraduate course and it is offered by The University of Jammu, Jammu. The Department of Mathematics came into existence in 1966. The department has a strong faculty having their Ph.D.'s from the USA, IIT (Kanpur), BHU, AMU, University of Jammu and TIFR (Mumbai). The faculty members have publications in the journals of national and international repute. Several faculty members have been awarded prestigious fellowships like Full bright and Commonwealth fellowships. The department has been marching ahead in the direction of excellence in teaching and research and is committed to keeping its march towards this end.
Eligibility Criteria
A Candidate must have passed/appeared in the final year of Bachelor Degree Examination with Mathematics as on of the core subjects in all the three years.
Admission Details
Admission to a programme of study in the University shall be made on the basis of written objective type Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET) by the Admission Committee of the Department concerned with the approval of the Dean Academic Affairs.

College Infrastructure
The campus of the University is good. The University has all the basic facilities like laboratories for every subject with all equipments required, big libraries, sports centre. The University has various hostels both for boys and girls with all basic facilities like Wi-Fi, common sitting room, study room. The food is also hygienic.
