West Bengal State University (WBSU) was established in 2008 under the Government of West Bengal and is also known as WBSU Kolkata. There are a total of about 56 colleges affiliated with WBSU Kolkata. The West Bengal State University has 31 postgraduate departments that offer a variety of language, literature, social science, science, commerce, and management courses. West Bengal State University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
West Bengal State University, Kolkata offers various postgraduate programmes related to several disciplines. WBSU Kolkata courses are M.A, M.R.S, M.Sc and M.Com. From the academic year 2019-20, the entire PG curricular of the University has adopted the CBCS model. For students, the West Bengal State University has built modern infrastructure, including ICT-enabled smart classrooms. 1)My college have good infrastructure,all facilities are good and many equipments are available and some are not. 2) Classroom, Laboratories and hostel are good but I think sports centre are need to improve and Wifi facility are also need to improve. 3) Living spaces are clean.

West Bengal State University, Kolkata very good in our college and campus is air conditioned. Food is comparatively good. Sports ground is available and having tennis court, throw ball court is there and competitions are conducted every year.

See it depends upon the course in which you are enrolled and also on the college in which you are seeking admission. Because in course like B.Tech. there is an option of lateral entry through which you can get direct admission to 2nd year of the program, provided that you must have completed diploma before your first year or as you qualifying examination. As per New Education Policy you are allowed to change course as well as college in mid of the course but it is not yet implemented pan India, so I would recommend you to go through the rules of your college regarding admission withdrawal during the ongoing course.

Since, in the first year you had history as your general elective subject, therefore this year as well means in the second year as well your general elective subject will be the same and you do not need to reselect it again .
However if you wish to change your general elective subject then you may do it by contacting your college authority or mailing them, mostly all colleges allow to change the general elective subject in second year but not in the third year.
so you can contact the concerned authorities or respective teacher and ask them to change it, they will guide you .
