The B.P.T Course offered at Vemana Institute of Physiotherapy is a full-time 4-1/2 years degree course including 6 6-month compulsory internship program recognized by the Government of Karnataka and our college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The course meets the University's stipulated requirements.
The B.P.T Course is designed keeping in mind today’s students which goes beyond mere academics. It prepares and enables you to become a full-fledged professional physiotherapist.
Besides the curriculum, the emphasis is laid on the personality development that shapes and molds you to adapt most perfectly to the Medical profession thereby becoming an asset to modern society.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility
A candidate with a 10*2 / 12* pass in the Science Stream should have secured an aggregate of 40 % with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST Karnataka are 35% in optional subjects and SC/ST Non-Karnataka is 40% , The candidate must have appeared and cleared English as one of the subjects.

Eligibility for lateral entry BPT

(a) A candidate with a 10*2 / 12* pass in Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and two years or three years Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized state government board will be eligible for entry to Third Year BPT.
(b) A candidate with a 10 / SSLC pass and with a year's duration in diploma in Physiotherapy from any recognized State Government board will be eligible for First Year BPT.
The above Regulation shall apply to the students admitted to the said course from the academic year 2020-21 onwards.

Admission Details

Admission to the first year shall be open for the candidates who have passed the second-year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Science Subjects or

10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) / ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University.
