As the title suggest the college is not very popular.But it is among top ranked colleges of University of Delhi.Although the infrastructure is not so good but labs are in proper condition with adequate resources. The teachers are extremely friendly and enthusiastic to teach. The college don't have a hostel.The college has a really affordable fees except for self financed courses like BMS and CS .

ANDC : The college of Dreams

Blessed are those who are a part of Acharya Narendra Dev College. Situated in South Campus , the college in rich in greenery. The classrooms are fine and ventilated. The college does not have a hostel. But soon the college will be shifting to its Rohini campus to solve the infrastructure issues.Even the cut offs during the admission process are in reach to average students . Also ANDC is among top college of University of Delhi.

College Experience

The college is extremely good for science based students. The atmosphere is awesome. The infrastructure is ok but if you're looking for a college with big infrastructure, then this definitely isn't it. The teachers are nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. There are various societies but most of them aren't much developed.

This is not the college I wanted to study in. But I ended up here anyway. And I guess this is the story of most of the students who study here. But it's okay. I guess, it is what is. This place is not too bad. This college has not got a great campus to boast about. Neither is canteen of the kinds they show in television and movies. I like the library though. The fiction section has great books. Same goes for the nonfiction section. Although the area for the seating is not enough. But that is something that can be worked on gradually. What I dislike the most is the crowd this college has. The crowd is very disproportionate. But at the end of the day,this college is too young to comment on. It's too soon to underestimate. And I think, in the coming years, it's gonna get way better

Acharya narendra dev college is located in kalkaji. The college infrastructure is okayish and the placements are also fine. The faculty is good. It is the only college in DU to offer a course in biomedical science. The seniors are friendly & helpful. The college has active societies which will help in personal growth.

A certain sum of money is divided among A,B, C such that A gets half of what B and C together get.B get one third of what A andC together get.If A got 500 more than B, then how much money was divided?

KUNAL LANJEWAR 10th Dec, 2019

Hello Rishabh,

It is a simple numerical of simultaneous equations.

Let, the distributions received by A, B, C be x, y, z respectively.

So, from first condition,

x = 0.5 ( y + z )

So, 2x - y - z + 0................ ( 1 )

From second condition,

y = 1/3 ( x + z )

So, x - 3y + z + 0 .................... ( 2 )

Now, from third condition, x = y + 500 ........... ( 3 )

Putting value of ( 3 ) in eqn ( 1 ), we get,

y - z = -1000

So, z = y + 1000...... ( 4 )

Now, From ( 2 ), ( 3 ) & ( 4), we get,

y = 1500/-

Putting this value in eqn ( 3 ) and ( 4 ) we get,

x = 2000/-

z = 2500/-

Hence, the amount distributed among A, B and C was 2000/-, 1500/- & 2500/- respectively.

Best Wishes.

Which is better for bsc physical science with chemistry in du... Acharya Narendra Dev college or Deen dyal upadhya college...

Sourandhi Saha Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019
Acharya Narenda Dev will be a better choice than Deen Dayal Upadhyay College. The infrastructure and faculty of Acharya narendra dev college is well known.
The fees is also quite low, that is in first year 6000, second year around 7000, and in third year it's around 8000, whereas the fees in Deen Dayal Upadhyay college, is much expensive.
Acharya Narendra dev college provides job and placement opportunities.
Placement is good . There are major companies like sbi ,niit , axis bank, IT companies etc,. every year many companies had come for placements.
But, Deen Dayal college, doesn't provide any good placement as well.

Should I continue with andc or switch into another college in next cutoff ?

Chetna Guglani 1st Aug, 2019

Hi Priyanshu!

Depends on your interest, courses that you are eligible for and various other factors like travelling cost, if you get a better course in some other college then you should go ahead. Don't switch for the sake of college your course and degree matters a lot more than that.

Best of luck!

Which is better for bsc physical science with chemistry in du....atma ram sanatan dharm college or acharya Narendra Dev college

Ayush Tyagi Student Expert 14th Jul, 2019
Hello there

As far as both these colleges are compared,  I will suggest you to take admission in Atma Ram sanatan dharm college,  it is one of the best college of South campus, after Venketeshwar college. I would have prefered ARSD over acharya Narendra dev college,  because of better faculty and better job opportunities.

Hope I am clear.
