College campus is good, good faculty, good library, easily approachable staff, very good hostel and mess. Cultural events are conducted every year. Good administration and very good guidance from everyone. Good support during exams. Very good guidance in practical classes, dissection, autopsies, field visits, assistance in surgeries. Good exposure in hospital. I miss those days. Internship days were awesome. I miss the college.

College - the most crucial time in a person's life,

Batch of 2018 | MBBS
College is where one lays the foundation stone of her career, her life, coming out of the warm cocoon of one's home and facing the real world. As with everyone, I have had my share of ups-and-downs through these four years. Graduating from a medical college is a slightly different experience than other courses as you learn to cure real, live patients of various tangible disease states. My college is an average medical college with basic amenities required for a recognised medical college, situated in a small town of Karnataka, equipped with learned and able faculty members dedicated to their jobs. Hailing from north India, living here in the southern part of the country has been a novel experience, having both sides to this coin too. My course requires me to learn the language of this place in order to communicate with the local patient and hence, learn the noble art of medicine, for which I've come here in the first place, which has frankly been a rollercoaster ride. I have realised, though, that people are just people, humans, irrespective of the part of the country they belong to. In a medical college, one realises that there can never be a time when you've studied enough or books that you've read all. But eventually one learns to live with that disappointment! And, then whether you devour every single book or not, what will matter in the end is how good a doctor you become, how efficiently you practice, how good a human you remain while being the doctor. While medical colleges are seen from the outside as environments of intensive and relentless studies and examinations, we do have our share of enjoyment too. Be it the college fest, incorporating both sports and cultural activities, or various medical conferences held in different colleges, or birthday parties, trips, dinners or night out involving studies or gossiping, I have had loads of fun times I'm going to cherish my whole life, with the few friends I know are the ones who are there to stay. There have been good times and bad, fun times and difficult times, and taking all of it in my stride I have grown up and matured as a girl, as a human being, and might I add as a future doctor.
