Gurukul College of Education has specifically been set up for teacher-training programmes as an affiliated rural college in full-fulfilling activities in Uttar Dinajpur district, West Bengal. The D.El.Ed. or Diploma of Elementary Education is an additional programme conducted by the Gurukul College of Education. The number of seats allotted for D.El.Ed. is limited to 50. Gurukul College of Education admission to D.El.Ed. will, however, be strictly on merit in the qualifying exam or considering entrance exam score with precisely the same framework as for B.Ed. Gurukul College of Education B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) Admission Process

The B.Ed. course is a 2-year full-time programme imparting training to the aspiring teachers at the elementary level. The college has a capacity of 100 seats in this regard. Gurukul College of Education admission to the B.Ed. course will be on merit based on the performance of the individual in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination in accordance with guidelines of the state government and the affiliated university.
