The process of applying to Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission Teachers Academy consists of various stages:

Degree-wise Admission Process

B. Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed course offered by Ramakrishna Vedanta Mission Teachers Academy is for 2 years in full-time mode. This programme gives training to secondary and higher secondary teachers. Admission is given to any eligible candidate based on the merit derived from marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The sanctioned strength for this programme is 100 seats, and the candidate must fulfill the eligibility conditions in line with those stipulated by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the affiliated university.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed course is of two years of preparing teachers of elementary education. The process of admission will again be based on merit following the state's policy on admissions in D.El.Ed. One hundred and fifty seats are offered as per the norms of the academy in the program. Admissions will be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and/or any entrance examination conducted according to the norms set by the state.

Both include a complete syllabi structure and parameters in pedagogy, child psychology, and educational theories in general.
