The infrastructure at Thapar is one of the things I appreciate. The classrooms are comfortable and the computer labs are suitable for programming and practical work. The library has good resources for students, and Wifi connectivity is helpful for academic work. The campus is also clean and has enough open areas to spend time between classes.
Academics
The Mca course gives a good mix of theoretical subjects and practical learning. Faculty members are approachable and usually help when we have doubts. Programming and other technical subjects require regular practice, but the teaching makes it easier to follow the concepts. curriculum is also up to date and also job oriented.
Placements
The university has a proper placement system and students get opportunities to apply for different companies. As an Mca student, I feel there are good options, but getting a good package depends a lot on coding skills, communication and interview preparation. Average package for mca is about 7-8 lpa.
Campus Life
I like the overall student atmosphere at Thapar. There is a good balance between classes and other activities, so college does not feel limited to academics. I have made friends from different courses and enjoy spending time around campus after lectures.

I have recently joined Thapar for CSE and the campus has made a good first impression on me. The classrooms and computer labs are properly equipped, and the library is a useful place to study when you want some quiet time. Wi-Fi is available around the campus and hostel. The hostels have basic facilities like study space, common rooms and internet. food is also good in hostels too.

The initial subjects give a good introduction to engineering and programming, and there is a reasonable mix of lectures and practical work. Teachers are generally approachable when you actually make an effort to ask questions. CSE has a lot to cover, so I don't think attending classes alone will be enough. overall i give teaching quality as good till now.

I heard good about placement in computer science branch from our seniors as i don't have feel the placement season, but the average package for cse branch is about 10 lpa plus and highest is is crores as displayed within the college. approximately 60 percent students get placed in last year.

The campus feels active without being too chaotic, and there are plenty of green areas where students sit and spend time between classes. There are a lot of clubs and societies, so it is easy to meet people outside your own branch. best part is location of college ie patiala which is best to explore

My experience with placements was disappointing. I participated in the placement process but unfortunately could not get placed. There were placement opportunities, but getting selected was not as easy as I initially expected, especially for diploma students.
