In our college, there are many resources we can access to expand our knowledge. There is a library, classrooms with projectors and well-equipped labs. The food in the canteen is good and for sports people, this is not there place. There are no fests, only once per year.
Faculty: The faculty are good and they are very friendly. They will help and guide you on anything. The majority of the teachers are helpful and qualified. This course curriculum is relevant like all colleges. We have minds and end-semester examinations every semester. The difficult level of the college is easy to moderate level so that students can pass the exam if they study accurately.

Overall college is very outside.
No infrastructure at all. Very poor condition, students are very upset the way college is built and its services are also not good. The college is situated at a very remote area with no facilities and frequent construction work going on in the college campus.
Honestly speaking, the academic condition of my college is quite disappointing. Most of the classes feel unplanned and lack proper structure. The focus seems more on attendance and grades rather than on learning and practical knowledge.
The placement situation in my college is honestly very poor and disappointing. Despite all the promises made during admission, the reality is completely different. Very few reputed companies visit the campus, and most of the opportunities offered are either low-paying or irrelevant to the students’ fields of study.
When I was studying there, the infrastructure was quite good. The classrooms were clean and well-maintained. The library had a decent collection of books that helped me make my study notes. The campus was compact and facilities like an internet connection, a canteen was there and some classrooms also had smart boards.
The English department was strong with teachers who were knowledgeable and always helped the students whenever needed. Being a college of Calcutta University, the syllabus followed was mainly according to the curriculum but our professors often added extra readings and discussions to make classes engaging.
If I be honest, the placement opportunities were quite limited for the English students. There were occasional campus drives but mostly it was focused for the commerce students. For English honours students the college did not have many direct job offers.
My campus life was good but not very happening. There were annual fests, seminars and cultural programmes that made the experience memorable, but the daily life on the campus was rather quiet. I had made some amazing friends but I wished the college had conducted more events.
The college infrastructure is quite impressive. The classrooms are spacious, clean, well-maintained and equipped with projectors. The library is one of my favourite places because it has a good collection of books, journals and newspapers that helped me a lot in my journalism course. The whole college is air conditioned.
The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. They make sure that we understand both theory and practical aspects of Journalism. The only problem as far as my course is concerned, classes are not that regular. The college follows the latest Calcutta University curriculum.
The college needs improvement when it comes to placement. Some companies do visit, but not many big names from industries. I think that the college should build stronger industry connections and arrange more internships or workshops with professionals.
I am having a lively and positive campus life. It is a girl's college. The atmosphere feels safe, friendly and inclusive. There are various clubs, fests and cultural events that keeps the campus active throughout the year.
Good library, old but large collection. Book Bank facility. Multimedia lab.
- Sports fields, auditorium, labs in many departments. Some classrooms are okay.
- New building made, promising design. - New building not yet in use (or only partially). Many classes still in old buildings. Some classrooms are not well maintained.
- Issues: poor ventilation, broken furniture, fans, water supply problems etc.
- No hostel facility. Stay updated on when the new building becomes usable. For now, be ready with own arrangements (PGs etc.). Also, if things like WiFi, labs are lacking, you might need extra effort (self-learning, using internet, possibly labs outside).
The Commerce Department is well-established; the B.Com Honours is sought after.
• Subject coverage is decent, especially for basics in accounting, finance, commerce theory. Students feel that for commerce students, many topics taught align with what’s needed for professional exams like CA / CS etc.
• Teachers are generally well qualified, helpful and approachable. Many reviews mention that faculty knowledge is good. • Some reviews say teaching style is not very engaging; that sometimes the way the professors teach doesn’t help much in understanding difficult topics.
• Latest, more industry-oriented content is less emphasized. Skills like modern analytics, software tools etc. are reportedly not always integrated.
• Attendance, internal assessments matter, strict in some cases; missing classes or labs can hurt.
For some courses (especially commerce / arts) there are placement drives, internship opportunities.
- Companies do visit, though many are smaller or not always relevant to all streams. - In courses like Science there is usually no strong placement support. Students say for many streams, placements are minimal.
- The average package numbers are moderate to low; very few high-package cases.
- Some batches get very few offers. If placements matter to you, check stats for your specific course. Try to connect with seniors to see what they got. Also push the college / placement cell: more workshops, upskilling, invite companies.
The crowd is mixed but many students feel it’s decent. Societies are active in places. Cultural/extra-curricular opportunities exist.
- Value for money is often considered good given being a DU college, govt college.
- Library, green areas and general ambience get positive points from many. - Not much hostel or on-campus accommodation; you’d need PGs / rent.
- Infrastructure discomforts affect campus life (heat, broken furniture etc.).
- Some students complain about canteen food, hygiene, lack of comfort in daily facilities.
- New building delays lead to resource constraints. Best to stay somewhere nearby, so commuting isn’t tough. Engage in societies etc. to make campus life richer. Also, push for student feedback to administration for improving infrastructure.
Taking all that into account, here’s how I see it: If your goal is to get a solid commerce degree, pursue further education (MBA, etc.), or do professional exams (CA / CS) while keeping costs low, then yes, ZHDC is a reasonable option. For many students, it’s a practical and affordable choice. But if your priority is getting top campus placements, or entering high-paying jobs right after undergrad, or having cutting-edge infrastructure / labs / practical exposure,
College infrastructure is also good. Zakir hussain delhi college is one of the oldest college of delhi university hence the building is of old architecture and the new building not yet opened. Big ground and greenery is there.
Academics of this Zakir Hussain delhi college is good . Teachers are concerned about the studies and provide proper feedback and take regular test to ensure the productivity of the students and help in scoring marks.
Placements of this college is good and amazing many companies come in this college during placement fair and provide chances to the students to secure placements ad well as internship for the students of all year.
College life is amazing nd good
College infrastructure of zakir hussain Delhi College is not so good as it has the old building and the classes are not so well maintained. The canteen is also average and have only 1 ground and closed new building.
Academics of zakir hussain Delhi College is good. Teachers are experienced and they provide their knowledge and experience so as to help the students to get good marks and guide us how to write in the exams.
Placements pf zakir hussain Delhi College is average as not so many companies visit our college in the placement drive. The placements and internships are open for all years but not everyone succeed in getting it.
the campus life is average
It is nice college with great campus life. And have lots of functions. Faculty here is also good and they are supportive. Crowd of btech is also good here. And there is great understanding between students
This college has good academics and good study envuronment . They give assignments per unit for practice and this assignment contain questions that help us in our mid sems. Also there are 2 mid sems in e

Goid
Nothing
it does, but can feel old and need maintenance a lot of dampness; gym, swimming pool, courts like volleyball, badminton, basketball, they are well maintained; yes spaces are clean and as per food hygiene is concerned it is checked on but needs attention there have been cases of students having issues.
graduated in July of this year 2025, b arch and for teaching the have faculties from SPA DELHI, SPECIALISTS FROM FIELDS OF CONSERVATION AND URBAN DESIGN, may say the visiting faculties have added and contributed a lot in the students critical thinking.
placements are varied in architecture, its mostly preferential cause as students we apply via portfolios and then the company or firm shall respond back, mostly medium size or corporate firms have approached, as per % and salary is concerned i am not sure or aware of it, the faculties have been supportive and been guiding us with new job vacancies since graduation.
a campus filled with trees and green landscape, though there aren't any clubs in b arch but wee have extra mural activates on Wednesday's every week for 1st to 3rd year. and an annual event arch venture. faculties are supportive in terms of provide time to ask doubts and explaining doubts post college hours, its safe, emergencies can be handed better, management needs better communication skills honestly.
