College Infrastructure
Very good infrastructure from the outside, the campus is very big and very lengthy. In order to get to a particular department, you've to walk a lot. However, the classrooms are outdated and very dirty, not well maintained.
Academics
Academics are up to the mark, unlike most of the other colleges in this city. The university of burdwan is a big brand which attracts a lot of good students if not brilliant. Hence, the professors are well educated and damn well in their jobs.
Placements
This is the core problem of this university, the placement cell exists but feels like non existent to me, because of it's weak ties with corporate entities. However, they are working on it. But still it's pretty poor.
Campus Life
Pretty good i would say, because they have accomplished a pretty well engaging campus life for the students, good at night times in the hostels due to volleyball courts and other sports facilities. Quite cool.

Serampore college was one of the heritage in West Bengal. All building was built in 18th century. So we had heritage garden, old traditional library and college canteen. A small playground is also in our campus. Many old books are available in this ancient library .

The Basic eligibility criteria of our college admission was 60% of PCM marks and minimum 70% of maths(for B.Sc Mathematics). Mathematics Honours syllabus is quite tough. Dicrit, applied mathematics like arithmetic and algebraic function were in our syllabus. The professors were to knowledgeable and helpful .
Placements
Placement was really very moderate after completing Graduation in serampore college. Some of our batchmates about 30-40% got job in small coaching centres after graduation. But Real scenario was quite tough. Remaining students like me completed Post graduation to get a safe job as school teacher or professor .

Having PGDM in marketing at SBS has been an enriching academic experience so far, As mentioned above, what i love the most about this institute is its faculty. All the teachers at SBS are quite helpful and cooperative. Rather then teaching just through theoretical books, we get practical knowledge via project work group discussions, and presentation in class.

In our college the placements for circuit branches like CSE,ECE,EEE are high. But for non circuit branches like Mechatronics, Civil, Mechanical are moderate. For IT field jobs the placements are too good. An average placement package in our college is 3-4 LPA.

The classrooms were spacious, and the laboratories were well-equipped, helping students gain practical exposure along with theoretical knowledge. The library was one of the highlights, with a good collection of books, Wi-Fi access, and IEEE digital resources.The campus was clean, and the canteen maintained good quality and hygiene standards.

Our college building is kinda unique and quite different from other college because it is in the shape of 'Jatayu', yet sometimes it's like a maze, we get lost but it's kinda fun searching our way out to reach our classrooms and having fun roaming around the huge building. Also we have a garden where we click photos, record videos because its so beautiful. We also have a ground where people most of the time play during evening because in the evening we get cool breeze, beautiful sunset to watch and end our day in peace. Our classrooms, labs everything is clean and well maintained. We have homeroom staffs who take care of these facilities.

Currently I'm pursing Computer Science and Design, it chose it by myself because it was the only branch which focuses on creativity as well as logic. It is a branch where i can get my creativity a well defined structure and execute it. My faculties from this department are friendly and supportive. Our HOD is so sweet, he encourages us to learn by ourself and most of the time its learn by experience. Until you experience you won't learn.

My campus life is so much thing filled with. I have fun in classrooms, with our faculty(faculty also include from other departments, placement and all), with out HOD too, he loves phyics, music, philosophy and its intresting to learn all those thingd from him. Also I have been participating, hosting, organinzing, planning events. Its so much fun to do all those background stuff like planning, organizing with last minute changes, chaos and fixing things. Gathering, supporting and in the end completeing it succesfully.
