College infra is kind of good but management is not proper, the workers dont usually work on time. If something is broken, takes time to be replaced and new things take time here in univ. Roads are good in jan 2026 but idk what management makes or maintains it or not.
Academics
College academics is kind of good not excellent. As sometimes some teacher come some times not. The VF ( visiting faculty) takes time to be in class.. But the permanent staff professors are good and has high standard of knowledge.
Placements
Placements are not good out of 140 student from each department gets into college in a year and out of them almost half qualify for placements. And out of them 4-6 get tthe internship and gets PPOs. Thats all

College infrastructure requires maintenance and construction. Building are old and historical. Toilets are not clean and hygiene. Parking system is not properly maintained. Gardening in campus has done nicely.

Teachers take proper class and work hard on their students and make them job ready. Teachers are supportive and helping. Quality of teaching in B.A. department is excellent. Practicals are not performed seriously.

Placement is not offered in this college. Quality of placement is very low. Students take help of teachers in getting placed through their references and recommendations. Performance of placement cell is weak.

I am studying B.ed to get my degree from a reputed university. Quality of teaching for B.ed is awesome. Internal assessment are taken in every semester. Scholarships are provided to the deserving students.

In my college, placement offered on the basis of marks obtained in the college. Placement process is not easy as it is a moderate government college. Bachelor students face many difficulty in placement.

Personally, DDU's infrastructure is really awesome. Structurally , its huge . The departments that are old, are in a bit of dilapidated condition however, the new departments are well maintained with all the basic facilities. It consists of two huge grounds, one of them being the stadium of DDUGU. It has a central library and every department has its own library too ( best for book paglus) . It has departmental labs, moot courts, washrooms, drinking water , electricity, WiFi.

Academically, the professors are really experienced and knowledgeable. We have proper time tables. Each class is of 1hour. Libraries help us issue books and we can also read books in our departmental libraries. Exams are conducted periodically and results are also out though sometimes they are late ! Curriculum is updated and in law the quality of teaching is really good . Plus tutorials are also conducted .
Placements
I am not much aware of the placements in other fields, but in LAW there had been students who are really serving in High courts as judges and advocates. The teachers too keep guiding us regarding placements and legal internships.
Campus Life
Well the college campus is excellent. Best features- it has two grounds, stadium, botanical garden, basketball courts, badminton courts, laboratories, central library, moot court, auditoriums, every department has its own hall to conduct departmental functions. The staff is super supportive, they listen and solve the problems . The location too is very well ...any emergencies can be tackled effectively as its in middle of the city.
Anything Else
My own experience has been quite decent . First, I love the infrastructure plus the campus. Its really green and spacious - 190 acres approx. You get to chill in the ground on winter sunny days and then there are trees where you can chill under them in scorching summers and then every step there are departments where you can be protected by rains haha. Second, academically too , regularly attending classes is beneficial and libraries are the best feature of DDUGU.

It has been well built in terms of infrastructure development. Especially, the library is well maintained. Besides that, the canteen was recently renovated when I was student there. The laboratory were well equipped for the experiments.Indeed, we used to have an amazing time there.

Yes, Our course curriculum of Zoology was well updated to the latest need. We had few subjects of applied nature like Apiculture, Animal Biotechnology and Parasitology. Besides that, we used to have timely field and institutional visit to update us with the latest developments.

To be honest, placements were good in few courses only like Bcom and Economics. In others courses, it were average type only of 4-5 LPA. During our time, the highest package in Bcom was 16 LPA for 2 people.
Campus Life
It is just amazing. Hansraj College is the worthy place to spend time at. I personally enjoyed all the events like Fests, events etc. I learnt a lot from my classmates as it was a PAN group with diverse experiences.

I chose Information Technology because of career opportunities. Teaching quality depends on teacher to teacher, some are good but some just teach theory. There is very little focus on real-world applications. Lab sessions are routine based. The syllabus is as per MU almost but does not perfectly prepare students for current industry requirements.

Campus life is restricted since campus is not very big. There are no festival celebration and fest happens once in a year which is good. Student engagement is there in clubs, committee,etc. The area is safe and easy to travel since it is nearby chunabhati station and has waking distance
