Technocrats Institute of Technology Pharmacy Education and Research, Bhopal, was the first technician Pharmacy Institution, started in 2002, situated at Anand Nagar, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is a PCI approved co-educational institute providing various Pharmacy programmes. The institute has a campus size of 0.9 acres and has a total intake capacity of 542 and employed a total of 45 faculty members. Currently it offer 5 courses in 3 degrees, various focus on the different areas of Pharmaceutical sciences. The quality of education is reflected in its affiliation status and in pursue to develop professionals in the field of pharmacy.

Technocrats Institute of Technology Pharmacy Education and Research has made many provisions aimed at improving the learning environment of its students. The faculty members of the college have access to more than 8600 books, 32 printed journals and 400 online journals, which is helpful for academic and research studies. Facilities needed on campus include; Hostels for boys and for girls with entertainment hall and sports track. In academic areas, the institute offers 16 laboratories, of which 2 are advanced research laboratories catering for postgraduate students. Having well-equipped state of the art analytical instruments like UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, HPLC, and Phase contrast microscope these labs offer both in-house and externally funded R&D projects . It also offers other functional services such as the provision of meals through its cafeteria, a hall for assembly or other purposes wearing an auditorium, health facilities as well as compounded transportation services to facilitate a worthy learning environment.

Technocrats Institute of Technology Pharmacy Education and Research is one of the universities which provide all necessary courses related to pharmacy. The institute presently offers 5 full time course including under graduate, post graduate and diploma. Total approved intake for all courses as above is 183 seats. It offers B.Pharma – 100, D.Pharma – 60 intakes and M.Pharma – specialisations: Pharmaceutics, 12; Pharmaceutical Chemistry, 9; and Pharmacology, 2. These programmes are designed to meet different facets of pharmaceutical sciences so that learners are able to be trained in their areas of specialise.

The admission procedures for Technocrats Institute of Technology Pharmacy Education and Research differs with the course. In case of M.Pharma programmes, admissions are made according to the candidate’s score card of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). The counselling for these courses is organised by Directorate of Technical Education (D.T.E.) Government of Madhya Pradesh through MP Online. To supplement this, the institute considers GPAT scores for its postgraduate programmes and, therefore, is the preference of most pharmacy graduates.
