The college campus is way too small and there are no play grounds and less amount of seats in canteen. Wifi is only in limited places. The food is hygienic. The living spaces are clean but way too small for a larger strength of students.

I'm studying btech ece. The quality of teacher is excellent. Though the curriculum is set a few years back and the labs do not have the latest technology. The labs are taught to much theory than practical.

Just one placement till this far as the recent batch is the first to graduate and the placements are currently on going. The placements are currently on going and maximum every students is sitting in them.

There are a lot of facilities provided by the institute to encourage students, some of which include the lab facilities. We have a nanotechnology lab and a manufacturing lab, where we can 3D print using the FDM printers. The college even provides Wi-Fi for students staying in the hostel
Academics
The teaching quality is good, and the teachers are very helpful both in academics and project works. The semester exams are a bit difficult. The pass percentage is almost 90-95%. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Placements
There were around 70 students, out of which I would say, around 80% of students were placed from my batch. The average salary package offered is around 3-4 LPA, and the highest salary was around 9 LPA. Some of the roles offered were production engineer, automobile engineer etc.

Talking about placements, no batch has been passed out yet so that we can track the placement records and rate the placements. But I have seen a few seniors getting internships at government platforms with the referral and guidance of our professors.

College has various societies and clubs so that students can join and enhance their soft skills and also teachers support these society very much and motivate children to join them. The location of college is posh area and very safe. Many stationery shops are available and transport facility too.

The college infrastructure is decent not too bad but not good, the college has the basic infrastructure and facilities needed for students. The classrooms are clean and have proper seating, projectors and fans. The labs are fairly well equipped for practical work, though some instruments can be updated. The library has a good collection of books and a calm space to study. Sports facilities are available, but not everything is in top condition. The hostel rooms are decent, kept clean, and the food is mostly hygienic, though the taste varies at times. Overall, the facilities are satisfactory for regular academic needs

The academics are good , faculty member are well educated and helpful I'm currently studying MBA MS integrated because I’m genuinely interested in the subject and it aligns with my career goals. The quality of teaching is good overallmost faculty members explain concepts clearly and try to make the classes engaging. Some teachers go the extra mile to help students, while a few classes can feel a bit fast or theoretical. But on the whole, the learning experience has been positive and helpful. In my experience, the curriculum is somewhat up-to-date but not completely cutting edge. There are core courses that cover the latest developments in the field, but some electives or modules feel a bit outdated or theoretical.

The quality of placements at my college is decent, but it’s not perfect. Based on what I’ve seen: around 60-70% of students manage to get placed through campus drives. The highest salary package offered varies a lot in my department, the top was about ₹8–10 LPA, though for some specialized courses or top students it might go higher. As for the average salary, I’d estimate it to be around ₹4–6 LPA, again depending on the branch. The placement process was okay not super easy, but not terrible either. There were a fair number of company visits, pre-placement talks, and mock interviews

Every year the campus is visited by various reupdated companies including IT firms , startups , software development companies , and products based organizations . Student s get opportunities in roles such as software developer , java backend developer , data analyst etc , depending on their skills and interests . Many alumni also secure positions in off campus drives with guidance from the placement cell .

College Infrastructure
The college buildings are older, giving the campus a classic, academic feel. Classrooms are functional, and while not always equipped with the latest smart boards, they are adequate. The library is a definite strength; it's well-stocked with Economics texts and research materials, though it can get crowded during exam preparation periods. We don't have a large, sprawling campus or massive grounds, but the prime central location in Kolkata is a huge advantage that compensates for the space limitations. The humanities building where we attend classes sometimes is comparatively better equipped with projectors and air conditioner.
Academics
The faculty in the Economics department is truly excellent. Most of the professors are highly knowledgeable, often having significant research experience, and they are genuinely passionate about the subject. While the Calcutta University syllabus we follow is extensive and sometimes feels a bit traditional, the professors make the effort to connect the theory to current economic events and real-world issues. They are also quite accessible outside of class hours for doubt clearing, which is crucial for Honours students. The focus is definitely on building a strong conceptual foundation.
Placements
The placement situation here concerns me greatly as a second year student. I see minimal corporate presence on campus for recruitment opportunities. The placement cell does not seem proactive in bringing companies here. I hear most seniors struggle finding jobs through college assistance. This makes me anxious about my own career prospects after graduation. I hope the administration improves this aspect soon.

I experience a somewhat dull campus life with limited activities beyond academics. The annual fest brings some excitement but regular events are rare. I have formed close friendships which make college enjoyable for me. However, I miss having active clubs or sports facilities for recreation. The campus atmosphere feels too focused on studies alone. I wish there were more opportunities for creative expression.
