The library has a decent collection, but digital resources are limited. Hospital infrastructure covers most specialties, providing sufficient patient exposure. Hostel rooms are functional, but upkeep and amenities could be improved.

Academic standards are steady, with regular lectures and clinical postings. Some departments have highly experienced faculty, while others could be more engaging. Practical exposure is good, but self-learning plays a big role. Seminars and case discussions are conducted, though not very frequent. Overall, the learning experience depends on personal effort.

Being a government medical college, internships are completed within the attached hospital. Most students focus on postgraduate entrance preparation rather than direct job placements. Opportunities outside the government sector are limited from the college side. Alumni network exists but isn’t actively utilized for placements. Job security depends on clearing competitive exams.

The scenic location of Shimla provides a pleasant backdrop for studies. Campus events and cultural activities happen but not very frequently. Sports facilities are available but basic. Social life is calm, with limited nightlife options due to the city’s nature. Overall, it’s a peaceful but low-key environment.

Placement of the college is not good. Only two to three companies are come. But also girls take the admission here because they just want degree. Many girls doing are selected in job fair, but they provide only 8000rs to 10000rs per month

Teachers are very helpful in mid-exams and semester exams. They prepare every student to pass exams. Teachers are friendly with students and explain subjects very clearly, though they don't train students as much. The semester exams are very easy when we prepare well, and it is easy to score marks.

Placements are based on our knowledge, and companies usually consider students with a percentage above 70% for interviews. The highest package is 12 LPA, the average is 6 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Many students are placed last year. Some students are planning to pursue an MS abroad. After completing B.Tech, also the next step is given by the college in case of abroad planning.

Consultant, developer, and tester roles are offered in our college. The salary packages are high. The college is highly restricted to others. I am happy to be here. The study is good here.

The college is good i liked the environment

GC college silchar has all the facilities and infrastructure. Our college has functional library, laboratories, sports center, hostels etc. But there is no wifi connection yet for the classrooms. There is no smart board though projectors and all are there. Living spaces are very clean and the common ground is quite big and lots of trees are there.

Academically speaking, i did my bachelor degree in anthropology, the department is good, the teachers are student-friendly, well qualified. The curriculum was updated and it includes all the recent development in the field.

In terms of placements, the college administration does not provide any kind of placements, and internships to its students. If someone is looking for immediate joining after college then this may not be an ideal option.
