Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate engineering course offered by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and approved by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission Details

The eligibility criteria for admission into UG engineering program is as per the norms approved by Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time. The sanctioned seats in each program in the college are classified into Category – A and Category – B at first-year level and Lateral Entry at the second-year level.

Category – A seats:

The seats will be filled as per the norms approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Category – B seats:

These seats will be filled by the College as per the norms approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Category – lateral entry seats:

Lateral entry candidates shall be admitted into the Third semester directly as per the norms approved by Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The percentages of Category – A, Category – B and Lateral Entry Seats are decided the time to time by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

College infrastructure is soo good and well cleaned daily There is enough space for students to play The rooms are good and the garden is well cleaned and a well gardening is taken for good maintenance
