Bachelor of Tourism at IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is a three year undergraduate programme for those who aspire to make a career in travel and tourism. Candidates who have passed 10+2 in any discipline from a recognised board/university have completed BPP (Bachelors preparatory programme) from IGNOU can apply for Bachelor of Tourism. The program is a three years course which is offered twice in the admission cycle - January and July. Candidates will have to pay a total of Rs. 10,200 for the full programme wherein Rs. 3400 will be charged for each year along with the charging the exam fee as determined by the exam conducting authority. The bachelor of tourism from IGNOU aims at making the students acquainted with various aspects of tourism, training the students to organise tourism services etc. During this three year course of Bachelor in Tourism at IGNOU, candidates will be awarded a total of 96 credits.
