Alagappa University is a State University owned by the government that was established in the year 1985. The university offers a total of 158 courses across all levels; diploma, UG, PG and doctoral. Admissions to different courses at the university are done either on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the university or on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The university also offers multiple scholarships through the government of Tamil Nadu and the Central government. The university also offers multiple facilities to its students for a better and more comfortable college life experience.

Courses are offered across multiple disciplines by the university. These courses are offered at all levels across branches like English, Commerce, Sciences, Fine Arts, and others. A total of 158 courses are offered by the Alagappa University Karaikudi. Students seeking admission should first meet the eligibility criteria and then follow the prescribed steps of admission. The courses at this university are offered in full time, part time and online mode. Out of these 158 courses, 1 course is offered at the diploma level, 14 courses at the UG level, 121 courses at the PG level and 22 courses at the doctoral level.

Alagappa University Admissions

The university offers admissions to a wide range of courses at the diploma, UG, PG and doctoral level. Students seeking admission in any of the 158 courses offered at the university will have to apply by filling the application form released on the official website of the university. For admission to B.Ed. courses, after applying, students will have to appear for the entrance test conducted by the university. For M.B.A admissions, the entrance test will be followed by a round of personal interview. Merit list for M.Sc. admission is prepared by considering 50% marks of the entrance test and 50% marks of the qualifying degree.
