Both branches are good in their own field. It is dependent upto you on which field you want to go.

Civil Engineering is one of the discipline of Engineering profession that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of all type of manmade structures like buildings, roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, and railways etc.

Industrial and Production Engineering is a subject that deals with the study of engineering sciences, manufacturing technology, management science and optimization of complex processes, systems or organizations .

But in case of placement I want to recommend you for civil. The scope of placement is higher in case of civil than production and chemical enginnering.
