No , of you are fresher then you don't have to provide but if you have dropped out then might be there is more chance to get good college if you will show them work experience. Otherwise there is no criteria like work experience is complisory .

No work experience is not compulsory. But having work experience strenghtens your overall profile and hence increases your chance of being shortlisted.

Work experience gives you the weight age along with MBA entrance score to get selection in any reputed college or IIM but if you have not then try to score well in exams. Your performance play an important role in all the selection rounds how you represent yourself.
