Indian Institute of Management Calcutta offers a 2-year full-time residential MBA programme at the postgraduate level. For admissions to MBA programmes at IIM Calcutta, students must meet the eligibility criteria, qualify for CAT, WAT, and PI. Check below detailed IIM Calcutta MBA admission criteria. 

IIM Calcutta MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories]. (Or)
• For students who have completed an integrated master's or dual degree directly after their 12th/HSC, the percentage of marks obtained as per the college/institution/university, which is considered equivalent to the bachelor’s degree, will be considered.

IIM Calcutta Selection Criteria 2026-28

Stage I: IIM Calcutta Minimum CAT percentile cut-offs 

Students must meet the overall and sectional IIM Calcutta cutoff 2025 of CAT for admissions to its MBA programmes.

Stage II: Shortlisting for PI and WAT

Candidates shortlisted in stage 1 will be further called for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) based on the composite score.

Stage III: Criteria for Final Selection for the MBA Programme

• Appear and qualify for the GMAT examination for Executive MBA admission.

• Further, students have to appear for the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. 

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on the student's performance in the WAT and PI.

• Criteria for the final seat allocation depend 30% on CAT score, 48% on PI, 8% on WAT, 8% on work experience and the rest on past academic performance.

• Complete the admission process by submitting documents and paying the IIM Calcutta admission fees.

IIM Calcutta PGDBA Admission Process

IIM Calcutta PhD Admission Process 

• Candidates must qualify the GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF/IIMB Test to be eligible for IIITA Doctorate admissions.

• Pay the application fees of Rs 2,000 (Rs 1,000 for the reserved category).

• Candidates who have an eligible percentile in the entrance exams are called for a personal interview round.
