72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
Master Degree (M.E./M. Tech./Integrated M. Tech.) with a minimum 60% marks for UR (55% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category, i.e, SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in Material Science and Engineering, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Nanotechnology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/ Ceramic Engineering/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/Electronics Engineering/ Nanoscience and Technology/Biotechnology or other relevant branch of Engineering & Technology
Master degree (M.Sc.) with a minimum 55% marks for UR (50% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category, i.e, SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in Nanoscience/Nanoscience and Technology/Chemistry/ Physics/ Material Sciences/ Life Sciences/ M. Pharm./ Applied Sciences/Biotechnology or allied subjects.
Admission Details
- Admission to the Ph. D. program shall be either through a Research Entrance Test or through direct admission (relaxation from entrance test).
- A candidate who is qualified in a national level test such as UGC-NET (with JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (with JRF).
- UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil programme.
