    The B.Arch. program is strong in the fundamentals of architectural theory and practice, and responds to the changing definitions of architecture in the Indian and global contexts. The emphasis on ‘Practice to Theory’ and ‘Theory to Practice’ makes the B.Arch. program competitive and relevant. The maker-centered pedagogy is an integrated process of directed, experiential, hands-on, reflective, and independent learning. Being a systemic interdisciplinary course, it focuses on creative problem-solving and instills self-motivation to learn. This B. Arch. the course will impart knowledge and skills required to design built environments required for human habitation.

    With CMR University – School of Architecture offering one of the best architecture courses in India, this architecture degree helps enhance the creativity of the students and train them to face the innovative profession of architecture. Following an undergraduate education in architecture, one may choose to specialize in Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Conservation, Urban Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication, and Service Design. Teaching and research are other avenues open to architects. Architects also work in related fields like computer applications, real estate, construction management, and digital architecture.

    Duration: 5 Years (10 Semesters).


    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants should have passed the qualifying examination of Ten plus Two (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any State board or CBSE/ICSE/NIOS/IB with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 

    OR

    Applicants should have passed the Diploma Examination (10+3 pattern) of any stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from the Technical Board of Karnataka or any other state will be eligible to apply for the program. The candidate needs to qualify for the NATA or equivalent aptitude test approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.


    Admission Details

    The candidate should have passed the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by NIASA (National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture), an academic unit of the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.
