72 MonthsDoctor Of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Dairy Microbiology program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned Offered by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum qualification for admission to Ph.D. (Dairy Microbiology) program shall be M.Sc. / M.Tech. Dairy Microbiology / Food Microbiology/ M.Sc. (Microbiology), M.Sc. / M.Tech.Food Safety and Quality Assurance/ Food Safety and Quality Management/M.V.Sc. Microbiology or equivalent degree with minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or at least 70% marks or equivalent at Masters level. They should have a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OCPA of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent at Bachelors level.
Note: The candidates with B.Sc. (three-year degree program at UG level) will have to clear, pre-requisite courses of one year. Students from non-dairy background i.e. other than M.Tech. (Dairy Microbiology) shall have to clear deficiency courses (if any) as suggested by the advisory committee of the concerned student. Preference will be given to students with M.Tech. (Dairy Microbiology).
