Established in 1986, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University is a state university. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). HNGU Patan Committees

• NCC- NCC has been established at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University to make students understand the importance of living a disciplined life which will also teach them to contribute their part in the upliftment of society at large. The students of NCC also take part in numerous other extracurricular activities, including parasailing, paragliding, para dropping, training camps, National Integration camps, rock climbing and mountaineering activities like boat pulling/sailing and ship modelling etc.

• NSS: The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a youth programme which is established under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. There are numerous activities that are carried out by students as a part of this programme such as international yoga day, blood donation, leprosy campaign, Swachh Bharat, literary campaign, mass cleaning, mass tree plantation, road traffic awareness, disaster management etc.

Facilities are provided to students to make their learning experience a bit more easy and enjoyable while they are on campus. HNGU Patan facilities include a library, cafeteria, gym, hostels, etc. The library of the university has a total of 69832 books covering various subjects. Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University has appointed two part-time physicians practising allopathy and homoeopathy to offer health facilities to the students, faculty, and staff members. Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University also offers sports facilities to the students, encouraging them to participate in more and more sports activities. Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University Admission

The university offers a total of 112 courses for Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University admissions. Admission to undergraduate courses except for the Bachelor of Architecture is offered based on merit. Students willing to take admission in B.Arch. must appear for NATA. Admission to postgraduate courses such as M.A, M.Com, M.S.W is  offered based on the marks obtained in the qualifying marks whereas, for Master of Urban Planning there will be an entrance test and interview round conducted by the concerned department of the university. HNGU Patan M.B.A. admissions are offered based on CMAT scores followed by counselling conducted by ACPC, Gujarat.

HNGU Patan UG Admission Process

• Meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the university.

• Apply to the programme on the official portal of the university.

• Fill and submit the application form.

• HNGU Patan UG admissions will be offered to students based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

• It must be noted that for B.Arch admissions, candidates need to appear for NATA.

• The last step is verification of documents submitted and payment of the fees.

Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University PG Admission Process

• Candidates must fulfill the course requirements.

• Apply to the programme and fill the application form.

• Students will be selected based on their marks obtained in graduation.

• It must be noted that for the Master of Urban Planning, there will be a separate entrance test and interview round conducted by the university whereas, for M.H.M admissions, students can either give the entrance test conducted by the varsity or apply through MAT scores.

•  Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University admissions will be offered only after the verification of documents and payment of the fees.

HNGU Patan Ph.D Admission Process

•  Meet the eligibility criteria for Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University Ph.D. admission.

• Appear for an entrance test conducted by the university. Candidates who will clear the entrance test will be notified to take an oral viva-voce.

• Shortlisted candidates based on their performance in the entrance test will be called for the interview.

• Evaluation criteria will be 70 % of marks obtained in the entrance test 30% of marks of presentation cum interview-viva-voce. 

• The final selection of candidates will be based on the performance in the entrance test, interview/viva-voce, document verification and payment of the fees.
