IIITDM, Kurnool was established in the year 2015, after receiving approval from the President of India following the publication in the Gazette of India. The IIITDM, Kurnool launched its academic programs by seeking help from its mentor institute, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. The institute is entirely funded by the Ministry of Education under the Government of India. The institute currently offers three programs namely Bachelors of Technology, Masters of Technology and PhD in disciplines like Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics and Physics. IIITDM Kurnool is accredited by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education). The institute offers 3 UG courses, 2 PG courses and 5 PhD courses.

Location

IIITDM, Kurnool is situated alongside the Rayalaseema Express Highway (NH 40) and 20 km away from Kurnool airport. The IIITDM, Kurnool campus is located from Pulla Reddy Engineering College to IIITDM at a distance of 3kms the boy’s hostel is currently being constructed, and the girl’s hostel is at a distance of 3km and 8kms respectively from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, campus.

Online Admission Portal for BTech Candidates: The candidates who have been allotted a seat through CSAB rounds, are required to login through an admission portal and pay the due fees for the first academic year of BTech program. Other relevant information is also released on the official portal of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

Release of Fee Structure for BTech courses for the year 2020-2021: The entire fee structure for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering has been released on the official website of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The students are requested to pay the fee according to the category they belong to by logging in through their respective id and password.

Release of List of Shortlisted Candidates for Interview for Department of ECE: The list of candidates who have applied for faculty recruitment and have been shortlisted for the interview round in IIITDM, Kurnool in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, has been released on the official website of the institute.

Release of List of Shortlisted Candidates for Seminar for Department of ECE: The candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Professor in Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, are also required to appear for a seminar presentation conducted by the department. The list of shortlisted candidates who are eligible for the seminar presentation test has been released by the institute on its official site.

The IIITDM, Kurnool consists of many student clubs and committees to help the student with their academics as well as co-curricular activities. The student clubs play an important role in making college life interesting as well as enforces student participation in many inter-college events and competitions.

The cultural committee managed by students is responsible for managing as well as organising the annual cultural festival of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh- Infrastructure and Facilities:

Central Library: The central library encompasses many books, volumes and series belonging to the disciplines of Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Humanities, etc. The students can visit the library and issue books by paying the liable library fee and make use of the many books in the library for free. 

Computer Laboratories: The IIITDM, Kurnool consists of computer libraries for separate departments and is well equipped with modern software programs like MATLAB, AutoCAD, Python, Java and C++. The computer laboratories are installed with modern furniture and high-quality computer systems with good audio and video set-up. 

Canteen: The IIITDM, Kurnool comprises a canteen open for all the students of the institute. The canteen is also available in the nearby girl's hostel. 

Hostels: The IIITDM, Kurnool is constructing a boy’s hostel for accommodation of boys. The girl's hostel is situated 4 km away from the campus and is installed with all the necessary amenities. The hostel warden looks after the smooth-working of the girl's hostel and also provides an added safety to the girls. 

Seminar Hall: The IIITDM, Kurnool also consists of a seminar hall which is used to conduct cultural programs, international seminars and guest lectures.

Admissions

IIITDM, Kurnool offers courses like B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. The candidates interested in B.Tech degree at IIITDM, Kurnool should appear for the JEE Mains examination and secure a valid qualifying score.

The candidates interested in pursuing MTech at IIITDM, Kurnool should clear the GATE examination and qualify by attaining a certain score.

The candidates interested in undertaking PhD courses at IIITDM, Kurnool must possess a valid GATE score and must spear for the written as well as oral rounds for selection.

Admission Process for B.Tech. and M.Tech.

·       The candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before appearing for the entrance examinations.

·       The candidates should fill out the application/registration form before the due date.

·       After receiving the admit card and scheduled dates of examination, the candidates should appear for the entrance examination according to the allotted time slot and venue.

·       The examination conducting board/authority will declare the results soon after the exams are conducted.

·       A counselling process will be conducted, and students will be allotted a seat through different rounds depending on their merit.

·       After the counselling process and seat allotment, the candidate’s documents will be verified.

·       After the final document verification process is completed, the candidate will be required to pay the due fees and confirm their admission.

Admission Process for Ph.D

·       The candidates will have to appear for the entrance examination by fulfilling all the established eligibility criteria.

·       The candidate must then fill out the application form for the particular specialisation of PhD.

·       The candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and the interview rounds conducted by the institute.

·       A final merit list will be released by the institute comprising the names of shortlisted PhD candidates along with their department and specialisation.

·       The candidate’s documents will be verified.

·       The student must then pay the required fees and confirm their seat.

Scholarship

The IIITDM, Kurnool provides scholarships to the socially backward classes of the society and economically weaker sections of the society.

Scholarships like Top-Class Scholarship for Higher Education of SC/ST/PwD students are made available to the students. Many scholarships granted by the AICTE and UGC, are also available for the students.

The Training and Placement Cell of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, follows certain steps while conducting the annual placement drives in the institute:

·       The Training and Placement cell of IIITDM, Kurnool initiates the placement drive by sending out invitations to different organisations and firm to participate in the drive-through e-mail along with the placement brochures and other demands of the institute.

·       The interested firms will accept the invitation and confirm their active presence during the placement drive.

·       The institute and organisation will confirm the dates of campus placement during the placement drive by mutual discussion.

·       Once the dates are finalised, the institute releases a circular about the annual placement drive and the students are notified about the various companies visiting the campus during the drive, their requirements and the designation offered.

·       The interested students will fill out the registration form and register for participating in the placement drive.
