The two-year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) is the flagship program of IIM Tiruchirappalli. Its main objective is to develop young women and men into competent professional managers, capable of working in any sector of organized activity, proceeding leadership and achieving excellence in performance while contributing to the welfare of the larger society.

The first year of the program offers courses covering various disciplines exposing the students to different facets of business management. On completion of these core courses, the program provides the option of choosing electives from a pool of specialized courses during the second year. The elective courses are designed to nurture future managers in the area of their interests, aligning them with their career goals and objectives. Students work on a Summer Internship assignment in an organization and also undertake ‘Make a Difference’ Team project as part of the curriculum.

The Post Graduate Programme in Management is recognized by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a Master’s Degree of an Indian University for the purpose of admission to higher studies.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the program provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.

Admission Details

A. Criteria for shortlisting candidates for PI:

IIM T will use CAT percentile for shortlisting candidates for PI. The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI. Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted.

PI Process:

Considering the COVID-19 outbreak, the Written Ability Test (WAT) Process is excluded from the CAP Process. Besides, the Personal Interview (PI) would be conducted through the online mode. The exact date for PI will be communicated by the IIM Raipur, coordinating Institute on behalf of all participating IIMs.

College Infrastructure

IIM Trichy’s campus offers a perfect mix of nature and modern amenities. The peaceful lakeside, where I spent a lot of evenings, made the campus feel like a retreat after hectic days. Seeing peacocks roaming around added to the charm. The sports facilities are great and classrooms are even more amazing. We have two new hostels coming up.

A place where learning is fun.

College Infrastructure

We have a beautiful and well maintained campus with modern facilities. We have big classrooms which is fully equipped with modern technologies. The library is huge and well stocked, making it an ideal place for focus learning. We have six hostels with double sharing rooms and two new hostels under construction. We also have a functional sports facility, and a gym.

Best campus life experience, and fun learning.

College Infrastructure

IIM Trichy’s infrastructure is quite impressive, with everything from a serene Lakeside and peacocks roaming around to the best sports facilities, including a swimming pool, cricket ground, badminton court, etc. We have a massive library which is perfect for long study hours, classrooms are big too, hostel rooms are quite decent and we have double sharing rooms.
