24 MonthsThe new two-year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Human Resources (PGPM-HR) with an MBA degree in HR is being launched by IIM Tiruchirappalli. Its main objective is to develop young women and men into competent professional HR managers, capable of working in any sector of organized activity, proceeding leadership and achieving excellence in performance while contributing to the welfare of the larger society.
The programme is designed based on the study of HR competencies identified by various HR professional bodies such as- NHRDN(HRSCAPE], SHRM, CIPD, RBL, HCI, and CPHR. An attempt has been made to incorporate valuable inputs received from senior industry HR professionals and senior members of renowned Institutes in India already running an equivalent programme in HR.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s the degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the program provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.
Admission Details
The admission process of IIM Trichy takes into consideration the candidate’s performance in CAT, performance in Personal Interview (PI), academic record and relevant work experience.
The criteria that would be used to select candidates for Personal Interview (PI) are shown below:
IIM T will use CAT percentile for shortlisting candidates for PI. The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI. Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted.

PI Process:
Considering the COVID-19 outbreak, the Written Ability Test (WAT) Process is excluded from the CAP 2021 Process. Besides, the Personal Interview (PI) would be conducted through the online mode. The exact date for PI will be communicated by the IIM Raipur, coordinating Institute for 2021-23 batch, on behalf of all participating IIMs.
