Established in 1931, Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata is designated as an Institute of National Importance through an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959. ISI Kolkata is also recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). ISI Kolkata is also accredited by MOSPI and AICTE.
Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata offers courses including B.Sc (Hons), B.Stat programmes at undergraduate level, while M.Tech, MS, M.Sc, M.Lib.I.Sc M.Stat and PGD programmes at postgraduate level. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics is jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. Admission to the B.Sc (Hons) and B.Stat degrees at ISI Kolkata are based on a written test and an interview. GATE scores are accepted for M.Tech admissions at ISI Kolkata.
ISI Kolkata also offers a Ph.D programme with specialisation in Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science and Library and Information Science. Free Wi-Fi, medical facilities, sports facilities are available in the campus. The food in the canteen is not that . The hostel rooms are for single accommodation .In classroom there are projectors, AC and those are well maintained.There is also the availability of gym.

As far as undergraduate degree course of ISI is concerned, they are only 2 courses they are B.STAT &B.MATH.both requires 10+2 degree in relevant discipline from a recognised board.
You have to go through entrance exam which is objective and subjective both but subjective one is checked only if you qualify in objective.the level of exam is tougher than JEE advanced.Objective paper consists of 30 mcq's with 120 marks.
