Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata admissions are offered to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. All aspiring students are required to meet the ISI Kolkata admission criteria. Candidates wanting to take ISI Kolkata admission in Bachelor of Mathematics Hons and Bachelor of Statistics Hons are required to appear for a written test(s) followed by an interview. If a candidate fails to appear in the interview his/her candidature is cancelled. Aspirants have to appear for a written test followed by an interview for ISI Kolkata M.Stat admissions. 

It must be noted that the students with B.Stat (Hons) degree from Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata are offered direct admission to this programme without any selection test or interview. ISI Kolkata admission to Master of Mathematics, MS Quantitative Economics and M.Tech is offered based on the written test(s) and interviews. GATE-qualified candidates are also eligible for ISI Kolkata M.Tech admission. Candidates with a valid GATE score may be shortlisted for a separate interview based on that score, for eventual selection through the GATE channel.

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Eligible and interested candidates are required to visit the ISI application portal and fill out the application form.

• Aspirants have to appear for a written test. Each applicant takes one or two written tests, the number of written tests being fixed for each programme.

• Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the written test.

• Further, shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview.

• The final merit list is prepared based on the composite score derived on the basis of students' performance in written test(s) and the interview.

The institute offers seven courses at the postgraduate level. A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university is the minimum eligibility criteria for Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata PG admissions. Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata M.Tech Admission Process

• The first step in the ISI Kolkata admission procedure is that students must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Fill out the application form by visiting the ISI application portal.

• Aspirants are required to appear for a written test.

• Candidates can also apply for admission via the GATE channel. This channel is available for M.Tech Cryptology and Security and M.Tech Computer Science. The candidates applying through this channel must have a valid GATE score. 

• Shortlisted candidates based on their GATE score will be directly called for an interview.

• Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the written test will have to appear for an interview.

• The final selection of candidates will be made based on the written test, interview, document verification and payment of fees.
