Admission at ISI Kolkata for B.Stat and M.Stat programmes is based on a written test followed by an interview. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics is jointly offered by ISI, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. It must be noted that the students with B.Stat (Hons) degree from ISI Kolkata are offered direct admission to this programme without any selection test or interview.
ISI Kolkata admission to Master of Mathematics, MS Quantitative Economics and M.Tech is offered based on the written test(s) and interviews. GATE-qualified candidates are also eligible for ISI Kolkata M.Tech admission. Candidates with a valid GATE score may be shortlisted for a separate interview based on that score, for eventual selection through the GATE channel.

At the UG level, the institute offers two courses. B.Sc Hons and B.Stat. The duration of both these courses is three years. To get admission to the Bachelor of Mathematics Hons and the Bachelor of Statistics Hons, students need to appear for ISI admission test followed by an interview.

The details of ISI Kolkata admission process 2026 for B.Sc Hons and B.Stat programmes are given below. ISI Kolkata UG admissions are based on JEE Main/CUET UG/ISI Admission Test.
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and appear for JEE Main/CUET UG/ISI Admission Test.
Eligible and interested candidates are required to visit the ISI admission portal and fill out the ISI Kolkata application form.
Aspirants have to appear for a written test. Each applicant takes one or two written tests, the number of written tests being fixed for each programme.
Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the written test.
Further, shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview.
The final merit list is prepared based on the composite score derived on the basis of students' performance in written test and the interview.
Selected candidates must verify their documents and are required to pay the admission fees.
