Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who has passed the Qualifying Examination(Q.E.) (two years of Pre University examination) from recognized University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio‐Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks in the optional subjects in the Q. E. is eligible for Engineering / Technology courses. 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST, Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) Category candidates. Provided that, the marks obtained by the candidate in Bio‐Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science in the Q. E., will be considered in place of Chemistry, in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for required aggregate percentage, only for the purpose of determination of eligibility.

Lateral Entry to B.E.

  • Diploma Holders - A candidate who has passed any diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Examination (Q.E) is eligible for admission to B.E courses, and 40% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates.
  • B.Sc. Degree Holders - A candidate who has passed B.Sc. degree from a recognized university as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passes XII standard with mathematics as a subject. Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. stream shall clear the subjects of engineering graphics/drawing and engineering mechanics of the first year along with 2nd year subjects.

Admission Details

50% of seats are allotted through KEA CET and the other 50% through Khaja Banda Nawaz University entrance exam which will be tentatively held on the last week of month of May for B.E.
