Master of Social Work ( M.S.W.) is a globally recognized field based Job oriented professional course catering to the needs of individuals, groups, and communities in varied fields. The department offers M.S.W. in Three core streams of specializations viz. Community Development (focusing on marginalized urban and rural communities), Medical and Psychiatric Social Work (catering to the needs of the health sector in the hospital setting) and Human Resource Management (profit and non-profit organizations). The course is best suited to the human service-oriented students working for the people having a deficit in social functioning, marginalized and those who are intended to make a career in Social Work. The Department is well equipped with various facilities. The course involves fieldwork practicum, Orientation visits (developmental organizations/hospitals/industries and communities) Rural camp (one week), Block placement/ Internship (one month), Seminars/ workshops, etc. as per the Social Work curriculum.
