72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Veterinary Microbiology shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must have obtained a B.V.Sc.&A.H. degree from a college recognized by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and that college must be within the list of VCI Schedule of recognized veterinary colleges /institutes. and The candidates must have completed the Master's program and the result is notified. However, the candidates who have completed all the requirements for the Master's program and have passed the viva-voce examination may also be considered for admission in order of their merit in the entrance test. If the Master's degree and transcript are not issued to them by the University till the date of counseling, they shall have to produce a certificate from the Dean, Post-graduate Studies/Registrar of their University indicating the OGPA and date of qualifying the viva-voce examination.
- The minimum educational eligibility for admission of fresh as well as in-service candidates shall be 70% marks (where OGPA is not given) or an Overall Grade Point Average of 7.0 (10.00 basis) in M.V.Sc. in the subject concerned from a VCI-recognized veterinary college/institute.
- Such candidates who have not obtained B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Master’s degree from a veterinary college/institute recognized by VCI will not be eligible for the entrance test and no valid web-generated admit card will be issued to them.
- The candidate must be registered with the State Veterinary Council.
Admission Details
Admission to the Ph.D. program for Haryana Domicile candidates will be made based on merit of the entrance test to be conducted by LUVAS. There will be no entrance test for ICAR nominees, NRIs, and Foreign Nationals.
