Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have obtained a B.V.Sc. & A.H. and M.V.Sc. degree with a minimum OGPA/OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks in M.V.Sc. degree from a college recognized by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and that college must be within the list of the VCI Schedule of recognized Veterinary Colleges /Institutes. ii) The candidates must have completed the Master's program and the result is notified. However, the candidates who have completed all the requirements for the Master's program and have passed the viva-voce examination may also be considered for admission in order of their merit in the ICAR-AICE (All India Competitive Examination)- JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)- 2022. If the Master's degree and transcript are not issued to them by the University till the date of Counselling, they shall have to produce a certificate from the Dean, Post-graduate Studies/Registrar of their University indicating the OGPA and date of qualifying for the viva-voce examination and notification of completion of M.V.Sc. degree. iii) Such candidates who have not obtained B.V.Sc. & A.H. and M.V.Sc. degree from a veterinary college/institute recognized by VCI will not be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program and the Application form fee will not be refunded. iv) Scorecard/Rank of NTA-AICE - JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 conducted by NTA for ICAR. v) Copy of Aadhaar Card. vi) For availing benefits of Haryana Govt. Schemes, please enclose a copy of Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID) along with the Application form. vii) The candidate must be registered with the State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.

Admission Details

Admissions to Ph.D. programs for Haryana Domicile/ other states candidates will be made based on the National Testing Agency (NTA) score of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA)-PG-2022 and AICE (All India Competitive Examination)- JRF/SRF(Ph.D.)-2022, respectively. There will be no requirement of an NTA score on the ICAR entrance test for ICCR/NRIs/RVC and other Foreign Nationals for admission to Ph.D. programs.
