M.Sc Botany at MMU Mullana Offline Course

Master of Science (M.Sc) in Botany is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered at Maharishi Markandeshwar Deemed to be University, Mullana.

The Master of Science program in Botany was started in a 2016-17 academic year from Biotechnology Department of the University. M. Sc. in Botany course provides a broad background in the biology of plants – from the molecular to the organism level. Students of botany will take courses in ecology, genetics, physiology, taxonomy, anatomy, molecular biology of plants and biochemistry. The Department is providing its students with a broad knowledge of botany and equipping them with the tools and drive to conduct original independent research in the disciplines of plant sciences. The M.Sc. program in botany will help in meeting the manpower requirements of institutions of higher learning and research centers by providing qualified professional biologists. Further students are expected to make influential contributions to scientific discovery and engage in formal and informal teaching and mentoring, and progress to careers in academia, industry, government and non-governmental organizations. Students of Botany requires to undertake a combination of advanced coursework, participation in seminars, and original research.
