People's University was established on May 4, 2011, by the State Government Notification by Madhya Pradesh Legislature through an amendment in Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapana Avam Sanchalan) Adhiniyam-2007 as Madhya Pradesh Act (No.18 of 2011). People's University Placements
People's University has a placement cell that conducts a smooth placement drive for the students. All the placement related activities such as organising various training programmes, maintaining the database of students, organising campus interviews, career guidance to the students, job fair, resume preparation, etc are taken care of by the placement cell of the college. Placement cell builds relationships with the reputed companies/organisations and acts as a link between the recruiters and the students. It also conducts group discussions, mock interviews, and guest lectures to prepare the students for the placement. It also conducts seminars and workshops for the overall personality development of the students. The cell ensures that the maximum number of students get placed in the companies. People's University placement process includes registration for participating in the drive, shortlisting the candidates meeting pre-hiring demands stated by the companies, pre-placement talk which is a two-way communication where students get an insight about the company and can interact with the employers, written tests in order to judge the verbal ability, logical, aptitude, reasoning and technical knowledge. Further candidates who qualify the written test move to the next round that is the Group Discussion where they share their view and opinions collectively and voice their thoughts. Invitation to the companies - The training and placement cell invites the companies by sending an e-mail for conducting People's University placements
Acceptance of invitation - Once the company wishes to conduct the placement it will accept the invitation and revert back to the Placement Cell, showing their interest in the further People's University process.
Fixing of Dates - Upon mutual agreement, dates are fixed for conducting campus recruitment by the company and the Placement Cell of the college and a complete schedule is made and it is shared with the students.
Registration for placement and submission of CVs - Candidates interested for participation in the People's University placement drive are invited to register for participating in the recruitment drive and then submit their updated resume that will be used during the recruitment process.
Shortlisting of enlisted candidates - Based on the specific academic requirements as demanded by the recruiters which are known as pre-hiring demands such as minimum percentage, etc, candidates are shortlisted.
