B.Sc. Forensic Scienceis a 4-year undergraduate course divided into 8-semesters. It is an applied interdisciplinary science that aids in matters related to law. The study of forensic science is typically categorized into two parts: lab-work and fieldwork. The fieldwork includes the investigation of the crime scene by searching and collecting the evidence to find the type and cause of crime. These collected pieces of evidence are analyzed or tested in the lab which helps to apprehend the guilty. The course curriculum includes subjects like Criminal Procedure and Evidence, Crime Victim Studies, Constitutional Issues in Criminal Procedures, Fingerprint Analysis, Crime Scene Investigation, and Theories of Crime Causation, etc.
