Special Education (Hearing Impairment - Preparatory Stage), known as the Integrated Special and Inclusive Teacher Education Program (ISITEP), is a comprehensive four-year program designed to prepare educators specializing in teaching children with hearing impairments. This program aligns with the norms set by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and is offered by esteemed institutions like SGT University, recognized for its excellence in special education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates with a minimum fifty percent (50%) marks in Senior Secondary or plus two examinations or their equivalent (under the 5+3+3+4 pattern) from a recognized board are eligible for admission. The relaxation in percentage of marks in the Senior Secondary or plus two examination or its equivalent examination (under 5+3+3+4 pattern), and the reservation for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes or Persons with Disabilities or Economically Weaker Section and any other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration, whichever is applicable.
- Minimum Marks: 55% aggregate
- Subject Requirement: English as one of the main subjects
