12 MonthsMaster of Laws in Intellectual Property Laws is full-time one-year course degree offered by Tamil Nadu National Law School, Tiruchirappalli and approved by UGC.
The LL.M. stream(s) to be offered for the academic year will be subject to the availability of faculty and other administrative considerations.
The one year LL.M. is a regular, full-time intensive programme on semester pattern. As per UGC guidelines, a candidate admitted to the one-year programme shall complete an overall nine courses and a dissertation for the award of the degree.
1. In order to seek admission it is mandatory to have a pass in 3 years /5 years B.L. or LL.B. or B.L. (Hons.) or LL.B. (Hons.) or its equivalent B.A.LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Com. LL.B.(Hons.) Degree or an equivalent examination with not less than
a. Fifty five percent (55%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories
b. Fifty percent (50%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories
2. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May, are also eligible to appear in CLAT . However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they will lose their right to be considered for admission.
3. The result of the qualifying examination in point number 1 above should be submitted by the candidate on or before the last date of closure of admission failing which the candidate may be ineligible for admission to the programme.
The admission shall be based on the marks attained through the Common Law Admission Test(CLAT) only.
