Ph.D. Bioresources and Biotechnology shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

The doctoral research program in Bioresources and Biotechnology has been devised to Provide a highly academic, knowledge-driven environment that will create scientific talent and innovative minds capable of applying knowledge to benefit society and contribute to its welfare. Create capacities for pursuing careers in industry by imparting a wide variety of skills to students. A collaborative inter-disciplinary effort between industry and academia is envisioned wherein manpower will be trained in accordance with the changing needs of the industry.
