72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
A Master’s degree Computer Science and Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Information Technology/Pharmacy/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Social Sciences/Social Work/Sociology/Management or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks (55% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years’ professional experience, and SC/ST candidates) at Master’s level or a Master’s Degree in Science/Humanities with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years’ professional experience, and SC/ST candidates).
Admission Details
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in KUEST-2023 conducted by the University followed by personal interviews. Those who are qualified and possess a valid scorecard in UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ICMR/GATE/GPAT/SLET/Teacher Fellowship and M.Phil. Degree holders in the last 2 years shall be exempted from KUEST-2023, however, they should appear for the Personal Interview as per the scheduled dates.
