Course Details

  • Mode: Full time
  • Duration: 5 Years

B.A.LL.B.[Hons.] Degree course is of five years duration. Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters and each semester consists of 90 working days. B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) A degree will be awarded on successful completion of the course. No split degree will be issued during the pursuance or on exit in the midst of the 5-year integrated course.

Intake: The number of students to be admitted to the 5 Year B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Degree Course shall be 180* (inclusive of NRI). All efforts will be taken to pay individual attention to every student.

A candidate should not have completed 21 years of age as on 1st June, (i.e. should have been born on or after 01.06.1994). For candidates belonging to SC/ST Communities, No Age Limit.

Admission Process

Selection will be based on “the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in the +2 examinations or its equivalent, in aggregate of all the subjects excluding languages”. The marks obtained by the student in the 10+2 examinations in the first attempt alone will be taken into account for ranking purpose and the marks obtained by the candidate by way of improvement examinations shall not be taken into account.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) OR its equivalent examination recognized by the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai and should have secured not less than 70% of the total marks in the aggregate of all the subjects. 
  • The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities should have secured not less than 60% of the total marks in the aggregate of all subjects. 
  • In the case of students who make a claim under the Non-Resident Indians (NRI) category, they should have secured not less than 60% in the qualifying examination.
