M.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology at Dr DY Patil Medical College, Navi Mumbai Offline Course

Master of Science (M.Sc) in Medical Laboratory Technology is a two-year full-time course degree offered by Dr DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai.

The M.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology programme is a 2 year postgraduate programme under which, we train students for leadership roles in hospitals/ diagnostic labs/ research centers/ healthcare industry. Students get hands on exposure to work with all types of diagnostic procedures. They are involved in patient care, communication and records management. To develop research attitude, they have to complete a dissertation on one topic given by mentor. Students are involved and trained in administrative and record keeping work, which will be supportive to clinician. At the end of two years of training, students are competent to get employed in private laboratory, hospitals, blood donor centres. They can also find jobs in crime laboratories, research facilities, pharmaceutical companies and universities. They are also eligible to hold academic positions in schools of allied health science and train undergraduate students.
