The infrastructure is moderate as the college is old. But it is adequate to have a fruitful experience. It has playground and two academic buildings old and new , it also has a good library. The hostels are spacious and good.

The academics is top notch as there are many officer faculties and the workshop is very big and has all the main equipments and machineries. The study hours are adequately divided and it's really balanced.

Indian maritime university , Kolkata campus have the required decent infrastructure for a maritime institute. The institute provides the cadets with quality equipments that helps the cadets to have an understanding about their possible working conditions ,and to mention , the institute have one of the largest workshop among all the maritime institutes in india. facilities like Simulation lab , hydraulic lab, electronic lab with equipments made of latest technologies and are understandable for the cadets. Other basic facilities such as library , swimming pool ,auditorium , and medical dispensary , ground are also present makes a good impression on the institute. The management promotes sports and other physical activities to ensure the physical fitness of all the cadets and is a part of their training. Cadets have the access to wifi all the time both inside their hostel and in the academic buildings. From my personal experience the institute does have and provide all the conditions and chances for developing and improving our engineering skills and survival skills during the 4 year course

As marine engineering is one of the most toughest degree in india, it does required good teaching skills. Imu kolkata have a great team of professors and instructors in the campus . Most of the faculties are well experienced ex marine engineers ( especially ex chief engineers, chief surveyors , ETOs etc)

Placement is the main highlight of IMU KOLKATA CAMPUS. Even in the toughest time such as current situations , around 90 to 95 percent cadets per batch are placed in the top companies in the shipping industry. About half of the batch will get placed in their 3rd year and about 98 percent by the end of 4th year

The cadets surely have a good campus life in the 4 years . Events like tempest , lithosphere, freshers party, marathon, and etc makes the fresher cadets to have fun experience...and as the institute is located in the city of Kolkata which gives the advantages to the cadets to explore the city during their city leaves.

Academics of rajiv academy is good as teachers are very attentive and give proper attention to the student and also provide them all the material they needed. In academics, this college wins as there are very rules and regulations has to be followed.

Placements are not good not bad as sometimes college call the very cheap and startups company who are just established recently so this is very disgusting part to take places in this type of companies. I did my bba from this college so they also don't provide any placement training for us.

Placements are almost zero. I think only around 1% of students get placed. There is also a very bad condition of placement as this college has to improve his placement cells for students to get placed on the companies.

My college life was good. Since I was focused on studying, it was pretty simple. I was a day scholar, so I used to travel from home to college. The teachers were very supportive and always helped us whenever we needed them. Overall, it was a good experience..

Ground is well enough for playing cricket and football.

The schedule stays fairly tight, so you have to keep up continuous preparation rather than cramming last minute. - Attendance Policy: SRM strictly enforces the 75% minimum attendance rule. Falling below this will get you debarred from writing exams unless you have medical proof, so attending classes regularly is mandatory. - While the curriculum provides a strong foundation, textbook learning alone won't make you job-ready. You will need to build independent projects, practice DSA on LeetCode, and leverage self-study resources alongside college coursework.

Placement is one of the biggest reasons students choose SRM NCR over local state colleges. The major advantage is access to centralized placement drives alongside the main Kattankulathur (KTR, Chennai) campus. To sit for top recruiters, you must maintain a CGPA above 8.0 without active backlogs. If you have solid coding skills and good aptitude scores, getting a decent package is very achievable.

I chose BCA at Rungta University for its decent placement records. The teaching quality varies; some professors are highly supportive, while others rely too much on old notes. Placements at Rungta are quite good with around 75% students getting placed. The highest package went to B.Tech CSE fir 38 lpa. The average salary is decent, and the overall process was smooth as the college was highly supportive.
