On the name of college infrastructure, there is only a single building. The college is situated in industrial area so all we can have is dust and polluted air. The college looks like a hauted place with various ghosts.
The teachers are not supportive for year back students or students whose basics are weak. The new professors who has came to college were so supportive and gives extra time to weak students and clear their basics.
There is no such placement in computer science field. Some companies of other departments gives placement to average number of students with an average packages of 2-3 Lakh Per Annum. but ya, the placement process is pleasent and easy btw.
Since it is a girls college, it is cool and comfy
The college campus is well-maintained and provides a comfortable learning environment. Classrooms are spacious, labs are equipped with modern systems, and the library has good study resources. Wi-Fi connectivity, clean hostels, and sports facilities help students focus on academics and overall development.
The academic curriculum is structured to meet industry standards and focuses on both theory and practical learning. Faculty members are experienced, approachable, and supportive. Regular assignments, projects, and lab sessions help strengthen technical skills and prepare students for professional challenges.
The placement cell actively supports students by arranging campus drives, training programs, and interview preparation sessions. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year. Mock interviews, resume workshops, and aptitude training help students gain confidence and improve employability.
Campus life is engaging and balanced with academics and extracurricular activities. Cultural festivals, technical events, sports competitions, and student clubs provide opportunities to showcase talent. The environment promotes teamwork, leadership, and communication skills among students.
The college offers a supportive and disciplined atmosphere that encourages continuous learning and self-improvement. Management and faculty are open to feedback and focus on student development. With consistent upgrades and innovation, the institution can achieve even higher standards.
The college building is quite maintained but not really good . The campus is not so good but okay. The college ground is of normal size and the college also has a library and a canteen. The classrooms are well maintained.
The teachers in the college are very good and qualified. The teachers teach each and every topic in detail with clarity and they also clear all the doubts and also help students with exams by taking regular tests.
The placement system in the college is very limited and the companies that visit the college for recruitment do not pay the students a good salary so the students have no options but to rely on off campus placements.
The campus looks great in prospectus pictures, and mostly it lives up to it. Some blocks are modern and well-maintained, while others need renovation. Wi-Fi works, when it wants to. Library have more than sufficient books.
Regular lectures, presentations, and internal assessments ensure continuous learning. While the curriculum follows university guidelines, inclusion of more industry-oriented workshops and case-based learning would further enhance practical understanding.
Opportunities are available for sincere and skilled students, higher salary packages and a wider range of companies would further strengthen the placement ecosystem.placements are decent but largely depend on individual preparation and performance.
Academic Blocks: Modern buildings equipped with Smart Boards, projectors, and LAN/Wi-Fi support. Labs & Research: Fully functional departmental laboratories (Computer, Pharmacy, Civil) with up-to-date equipment. HPTU offers a curriculum that is regularly updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines, ensuring industry relevance. The faculty is highly qualified—many holding PhDs—and is known for being supportive and approachable. Teaching is notes-oriented with a strong focus on practical learning through well-maintained labs. While the exam schedule is rigorous, the semester assessments are generally considered fair for students who attend classes regularly.
The placement quality at HPTU Hamirpur is average but improving. Approximately 60–80% of students from the 2024-25 batch secured placements, primarily in the IT and CSE branches. The highest salary package offered was around 12–18 LPA, while the average package typically ranges between 3–5 LPA. Top recruiters include MNCs like Wipro, Infosys, and TCS. While the placement cell is supportive and organizes training workshops, core engineering branches have fewer on-campus opportunities. Overall, it is a value-for-money choice for students seeking affordable technical education.
HPTU Hamirpur offers a peaceful campus amidst scenic hills. While the infrastructure is developing, the academic environment is disciplined. Technical fests and sports meets keep the campus lively, though the remote location limits off-campus options. Faculty is supportive, and the safety here is excellent.
Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) offers a serene campus environment in Hamirpur. While the curriculum is strictly aligned with industry standards, students often feel the need for more frequent placement drives and enhanced practical lab facilities to bridge the gap between theory and industry readiness.
The building of UBS is a remarkable symbol of the long and successful legacy of Panjab University. Standing tall within the lush green campus, it is popularly known as Arts Block 3 and Arts Block 6. The structure reflects history and tradition, representing years of academic excellence. However, despite its strong legacy, the building now requires significant repairs and modernization. In today’s competitive academic environment, legacy alone is not enough. It is essential to upgrade infrastructure to meet the standards expected of a reputed B-school. Basic amenities such as clean washrooms, well-developed classrooms, and access to safe drinking water are fundamental requirements. Unfortunately, UBS currently falls short in these areas. It is the need of the hour to revamp the infrastructure and align it with contemporary educational standards to maintain its reputation and continue attracting quality students.
The syllabus is often described as being at par with the IIMs, but in reality, it has become outdated. The curriculum places excessive emphasis on rote learning, with minimal focus on practical exposure, industry interaction, or experiential learning, elements that are essential for any modern B-school. There are a few professors who genuinely attempt to bring change. They go beyond their responsibilities to create a meaningful learning environment. However, instead of being encouraged, such efforts are often discouraged. Anyone trying to challenge the existing system risks facing unnecessary difficulties. An institution that proudly speaks of its long legacy once had professors who were deeply committed to their students and played a transformative role in shaping careers and lives. Many of them have either retired or moved on. Today, much of the academic responsibility rests on Junior Research Fellows. While they sincerely put in effort and dedicate time to learning and teaching, relying heavily on them reflects poorly on the structure expected from a reputed B-school. What has increased in recent years is not placements or academic excellence, but internal politics within the department. Instead of fostering collaboration and growth, the environment often feels divided. In such a scenario, merit sometimes seems secondary to affiliations, which is deeply concerning for an academic institution
Placements here are 1000% guaranteed provided you are someone’s someone or happen to be on the favourites list of a key faculty member. Officially, it’s all about hard work and luck. Unofficially, connections seem to deliver results a little faster than both. Some faculty members clearly have the power to open doors, shape careers, and help students fulfil their dreams and meet their parents’ expectations. Unfortunately, that power often appears reserved for a chosen few. The rest of the batch survives on self-effort, optimism, and perhaps a little divine intervention. It’s not that others don’t seek guidance, it’s just that approaching the “wrong” person or not belonging to the “right” circle can earn you cold shoulders or silent grudges. So while brochures proudly advertise equal opportunity, the lived experience sometimes feels more like selective opportunity. Of course, there are exceptions a few who manage to bypass this maze through sheer resilience or extraordinary effort. But when survival feels like strategy and access feels like privilege, one can’t help but question the system.
Life at UBS is genuinely good. You meet people who start off as classmates and somehow end up becoming an integral part of your life. The friendships, late-night discussions, shared stress before exams, and collective celebration after small wins; those moments stay with you. The campus, with its lush greenery, offers a peaceful escape from the usual chaos. Being situated in the heart of beautiful Chandigarh adds its own charm; clean roads, organized sectors, and a balanced city life. And with Himachal Pradesh just a few hours away, spontaneous trips to the hills become part of the MBA experience. For all its flaws and strengths, the place does manage to give you memories that often turn out to be the best two years of your life.

Academics are average. The syllabus covers basic concept, but teaching quality depends on the professors. Some teachers are supportive while others focus more on completing the syllabus. Students need to do self study for understanding an exam preparation.
Placements for BSc students are very low. Very few companies come for pure science courses. Most student go for higher studies like MSc or prepare for competitive exams. Career growth of individual mainly depends on personal efforts not by the college.
The campus life is good and enjoyable. Environment is friendly and relaxed. So, you get enough time to prepare for competitive exams because attendance is not that strict here.

The infrastructure isn’t elite-level, but it’s practical enough to focus more on learning than on complaining. Drinking water is purified water cooler in every department for students and employees. Planting is really organised in botanical garden.

Teachers are sometimes not at all polite and they don't going to answer you properly but sometimes they provide good opportunities like internship on job training and case studies and some of the teachers are really well in teaching subjects
Placement is okay but not that much good as most of the companies visiting here looking for master degree students and they don't hire any bachelor students so they need to work on placements for giving job opportunities to the student
Classrooms are okay and have basic facilities like fans, lights and sometimes smart board. Library is useful and we can find important books for exams. If a student studies seriously, he or she can score good marks from here.

Coursework blends theory with lab sessions and internal evaluations. Students can participate in technical fests, paper presentations and small research activities to strengthen subject understanding. Overall good.
Most ECE students find opportunities through campus drives, mainly in IT and some core roles. Training in coding, aptitude and interviews helps secure packages around 3–6 LPA on average. Core roles are very less. Good tpo department.
The department has spacious classrooms and computer labs with enough systems for practical work like coding and programming.some computer labs and equipment are old and need upgrading. Internet speed is not always fast, especially during busy hours. A few classrooms and buildings look outdated and need better maintenance
