We have the best infrastructure, the classrooms are really big that can accomodate 80 students easily and also lecture halls of capacity 200. There are well equiped laboratories. Library is very large containing more than 50000 books. The mess maintainance and food are very hygenic.

Academic curriculum is very thoughtful. The subjects that are included focus on various aspects of the course so that anyone can chose their interest and chose their careerpath. Exams are held every month in a semester. The faculty are very good and always open for doubts and discussions.

According to 2024, the placement percentage is 68 which is a decent percent. Not all students sit for campus placements but have plans for higher studies or opt for various other domains like civil services and all. There are many festivals organized in college every year. Every festival is celebrated with immense joy. There is a teach fest like a hackathon for computer nerds. The library is huge and has every book needed, and the classrooms are well-ventilated. The course curriculum is well-managed; you have all the necessary subjects in MCA that you need to skill up before entering the outside corporate world. I chose MCA. I am always interested in software. We had about 4-5 teachers for our 70-student batch. We had term-end exams for every semester

From the 2nd semester itself, students are eligible for placement companies like Capgemini, Godrej, Infosys, Wurth-it, and TCS, which visit very often and make a good number of offers. The average package is around 4 LPA for freshmen, or about 80–90% of students placed. Unfortunately, no good companies come for internships; most students receive jobs directly.

The hostel facility is average, and the food in the mess is good compared to other colleges. The medical facilities are not up to the mark, but the canteen is good. In terms of sports, you get a lot of opportunities to participate in a variety of sports, both indoors and outdoors.

The faculty at BMSCE is outstanding, but the exams can be a bit hectic. For example, in the first semester, they complete the first semester in 3 months and conduct internal exams in each month. The exams are taken afterwards, and the best 2 out of 3 CIEs are considered. Also, there is a strict 85% attendance rule in the college. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.

My branch has decent placements that are increasing each year. About 70-80% of students get placed through college recruitment, and the rest are placed through off-campus placements. The highest package offered was about 46 Lacs, and the average is 12 Lacs for my branch. In terms of internships, 70% of the students who applied got internships. The top roles offered were data management and web development.

I graduated during a recession, and about 60% of my batchmates were placed. The highest package was from Veritas for a support engineer role, at 12 LPA. The average package was around 3.5-4 LPA. Several companies offered good packages and roles, including Crelio Health, Worldline, Kylas, and KPIT.

The new building, called the Platinum Jubilee Block, is well maintained with fully equipped computer labs, classrooms that are big enough with smartboard facilities and the lighting and ventilation are also good. The library is good with a wide range of books and resources. Hostels are decent; they can do better with the management, as there are not enough rooms to accommodate people. The mess is quite hygienic but the food is very average. The hostelites have separate ground near the mess for games and sports.

Most of the teachers are very professional and knowledgeable. They are easily approachable and they'll clarify the doubts. Yes, the course is curriculum relevant and they stick to the syllabus and it has all the required knowledge and skill development for upcoming industry trends. Semester exam corrections are very strict compared to internals so that's where the scoring drops down. Pass percentage is around 70-75%.
Placements
Placements are good in BMSCE. Top companies like TCS, Accenture, etc., come here to interview the students. The college has a good placement training period also. The teachers, few of them, help in getting internship opportunities to students. The average package for my course is around 6-14 LPA.

To be honest, college canteen food (same food is served to hostelers) is better than I had in other colleges; Wi-Fi is available; and the classroom and library are good. I don't really know about medical facilities and games; Wi-Fi is only available for hostel students but obviously everything is known, even though no one tells.

Staff are good as long as you are good to them. You have to complete your assignments on time; they are not that strict, but if you don't listen to them, it may reflect on your marks. But since college is going anonymous now, that doesn't really matter.

For the mechanical branch this year, only 2 students got placed as the recession period was there, but there are a lot of companies visiting this college, there are good placements for other branches and it will definitely be better in the coming years for the mechanical branch also. The college is going to be autonomous.
