Lakshmibai College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. It was established in 1965 and named in honour of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. The college is run by the Government of Delhi. It has multiple departments which include Commerce, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Home Science (Food technology & Apparel Design and Construction), Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Physical Education, Political Science, Punjabi, Sanskrit, and Sociology. The college offers degree courses in the humanities, social science and commerce at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Masters in Arts are also offered with specializations in Philosophy, Political Science and Sanskrit.

Lakshmibai college is a nice college. It's not so famous amongst the other du colleges but it is good. The infrastructure is nice & the faculty is amazing. It's not so reputed but the teachers are really cooperative. The College offers a really big library & plethora of books to choose from. The dramatics society Navrangg is quite famous for its endeavours. The other departmental societies are also nice. At the end of the day your course choice should matter more than your college choice. Delhi University is a really precious University and if you are getting admission into your favourite course, then the choice of college shouldn't matter much.
