The highest package was reportedly around 4.5 LPA and the lowest package was approximately 2 LPA. Most of the students who prepared well were able to get shortlisted. Also, the placement figures have been similar in the last few batches.

I am from the newest campus of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), i.e. the Yeshwanthpur Campus. And since it is a new campus we do have some things that are yet to be administered in our campus, but the existing facilities are awesome. We have two bloomberg terminals in our campus, two libraries, 2 seminar halls (each one can accommodate around 200 people), a mini auditorium (accommodates around 500 people) and the grand auditorium that has a seating capacity of 3000 people, making it the largest auditorium in all of the campuses. We have abundant parking space in the university campus, we have a really beautiful turf. And the campus has zero tolerance for ragging. I was a hosteller in my first year, and now that I have exited the hostel, I realized what a luxury it was. We had clean rooms, access to fresh water to drink, 24/7 warm water and power backup, a vending machine and then a recreational area in each floor, we had laundry services exclusively for the hostellers. It was guarded 24/7 and yes, the rules were strict, but you had the flexibility to go out after informing the warden. The only drawback was that it did not include food.
Academics
I am enrolled in a programme called B.Com. Applied Finance and Analytics. It is one the most advanced course that integrates concepts of finance with subjects like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Trading. So, it would say that the curriculum is very well designed, although it is vast, and I feel if they would have tried to teach one subject in two semesters by properly dividing the portions would have been better as we do feel burdened sometimes. But overall, I like my course. We have an option to exit after three years or take up another year of study and get an Honours/Honours with Research. These subject are in demand and make us more employable than other students.
Placements
The placements have been good so far. In this placement season (duration between June to November) around 800 people got placed and from the Department of Commerce alone. And this placement season will last up to August next year. So I would say that the placements are really good. Moreover, the highest package that a student was offered was 22 LPA and the mean package is 7 LPA. The placement process is structured and it follows a hierarchy of management and students.
Campus Life
We have lots of fest year-round. And most of them are really good, because you get to connect to a lot of new people, from various colleges, companies and industries. We have every kind of events, like sports, dance, singing, public speaking. I personally love the theatre team at CHRIST. It's unbeatable. Students from our campus have performed at fests like Mood Indigo and our teams have won lot of theatre events. And the teachers too promote us into extra-curriculars and the attendance (which Christ is famous for) is taken care of.

You can have a lot of fun here, if you abide by the rules, as they are supposed to foster discipline in us. It is a good place to be at and thrive.

I find the campus facilities absolutely stunning and incredibly vast, which I love exploring. The biotechnology department has state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, which is essential for my dual degree research. I appreciate the comfortable hostels and excellent centralized library for my late-night studying. I feel the college maintains a premier physical environment throughout.
Academics
I feel the dual degree program is highly rigorous, demanding deep commitment to both engineering and research early on. My professors are experienced, and I find their specialized knowledge in genetics and bio-process engineering very helpful. I am consistently challenged by the coursework, which prepares me for the future master’s thesis. I believe the academic standard is excellent.
Placements
I recognize that biotechnology placements are more niche than core engineering branches, which concerns me slightly. I know some pharmaceutical and research firms do visit, offering reasonable packages to my seniors. I understand I need to focus on building a strong research portfolio to attract the best opportunities. I believe the placement cell supports my efforts adequately.

I genuinely love the extremely vibrant and active social scene that defines life here. The sheer number of technical and cultural events is unmatched, giving me many opportunities to take part. I enjoy the extensive sports facilities and the supportive residential environment with my batchmates. I feel campus life is rich and full of constant activity.

The department fosters innovation through well-equipped labs and aligns curriculum with industry standards for placements and higher studies.

There are decent placements in our College.Last year the highest package offered is 9LPA (as per my knowledge). A strong placement record. For the academic year 2024-25, out of 580 eligible undergraduate students, 529 were placed, resulting in a placement rate of approximately 91%. The median salary package offered is around Rs 4 lakhs per annum. Postgraduate placements also show good results with about 35 out of 56 students placed at a similar median package.Top recruiters include reputed companies like HCL, IBM, Toyota, Bosch, TCS, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra, with the highest package reported as Rs 16 lakhs per annum. The placement cell is active with over 50 companies visiting annually, providing internships and pre-placement training to students. CSE and ISE both fall under same placement cell. so there isnt any lack of opportunities. the skills you have to put personal efforts to manage time for all that. there is a cute and small schedule of academics. you get plenty of time for building skills.
