Career options after bsc maths, physics and statistics?

After completing the B.Sc in Maths ,Physics or Statistics, one of the first question strike in

your mind for your next career move is –“ Should I go for further studies?” or “Should I

jump into the real world to get some work experiences?”

After pursuing a BSc course, that is, BSc Physics, BSc Mathematics etc, students can become

teachers, research analysts or technical writers.

B.Sc in Mathematics opens up many bright doors to promising career pathways. Here is a

list of career options that can be pursued after studying BSc in Maths and Physics:-

 Postgraduate: MSc and PhD:

After completing bachelor degree, BSc candidates can pursue Master’s Degree in

Mathematics followed by PhD or M.Phil. It is the best courses opted by science

graduates. Thus, after getting degree in Mathematics there are huge career options

are available in research or teaching field.

Also, if you want to make your career in Indian Economics Services (IES) you can

opt, master’s Degree in Economics or Econometrics.

 Master of Computer Application (MCA)

 Master of Business Administration (MBA)

 There are numerous certifications, which can be pursued after completing B.Sc

Maths to improve one’s career scope. Many long-term as well as short-term

certifications available in the field of Mathematics which are, Chartered Accountant,

Company Secretary, Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner.

 BSc graduates can also pursue jobs offered in public sectors in various government

institutes like Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Indian

Space Research Organization (ISRO).

AFTER STUDYING BSc IN STATISTICS;-

 Masters in Statistics: there are many universities that offer this course.

You can apply in Indian universities (DU, IITs, and Indian Statistical

Institutes etc) and foreign universities as well. For foreign universities,

you'll have to write an exam known as GRE.

 Law: you can pursue bachelors in law after completing your bachelor's

in statistics. Institutes like Faculty of Law, Delhi University provides 3

years bachelor's degree in law.

 

 You can write other competitive exams for government services as well.

UPSC, Bank PO… names any. There is a separate service for people with

statistics background, Indian Statistical Service.
