Is it wise to drop a year for JEE preparation? I just want CSE, nothing else as I am not interested in other branches.

Hi

First of all congratulations for your good score in (10+2)  . This (10+2) score reflects your consistency however it is not wise to compare (10+2) with jee but one thing is clear that you can easily achieve good rank in jee . since you haven't taken any coaching for jee exams and not much focused means you actually lacked the proper direction so it is a good option to take a year drop and prepare for it . Don't think much about the inner sense coz as you start preparing you will get a lot of confidence . give your full dedication ,have a patience and always think of the target.

Being a delhi resident ,you will have a good privilege(reservation) in getting admission to DTU and NSIT.

However for getting IIT delhi ,you need to really work very hard . you got  enough time of 1year to achieve any.

Good luck and have a great day ahead !!!

Feel free to ask anything :p

Thank you very much. I appreciate that you have given such an elaborated answer. I am just afraid that what would I do if I am not able to perform well in next year's JEE exam. Wouldn't my one year be wasted? Please clarify this. Thank you.

It would definetly be a foolish decesion to drop JEE main preparation.

To get a admission in IIT delhi and other universities it is compulsary to appear and get good score in the JEE Main entrance examination.

try your level best! BEST OF LUCK :)

Your answer is not clear. I think you didn't get the context. I didn't take any kind of coaching for JEE and then this is my result. I want to ask that whether I will be able to perform well next year with coaching or not. Kindly refer to the details that I have given in the description. Thank you.

DearAt every point of your life, you will always have two choices- an easy one and a difficult but usually the correct oneOne year does not matter a thing,  there is whole life in front of you that depends on the decision you take now. If you do not give yourself one more chance, then maybe 5 years down the line you will be having this thought- what if i had taken a drop, where would i have been now in that scenario . so you need to keep faith on yourselves , believe in what you are and what you can do .Some of the things that may help you to bring consistency are regularity in study, low distraction, time management and dedication.P.S. -To be consistent, you have to be boring .Good luck a great day ahead !!!Feel free to ask anything :p
