72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in English shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, the course offered by the Assam Down Town University, Guwahati.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have a Master's degree from a recognized university or equivalent professional degree.
- Minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled/EWS candidates) or equivalent grade in UGC 7-point scale.
Admission Details
- The candidates who have qualified in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE GPAT/CEED/SLET and similar National level tests in the concerned subject. However, they have to appear in interview for getting admission into the program

College Infrastructure
There are also a lot of advantages to studying at universities that have good infrastructure, including well-furnished classrooms, libraries, and research facilities (in addition to having a clean, well-maintained campus with Wi-Fi and other basic services). Many of the students enjoy being able to study in a quiet location on a hill, as well as having a great environment for learning.
